Psychosis is Seductive

Life Lesson Learned – the 3Ls

I adhere to my 3Ls because they are my reality

I rely on my reality to make sense of my world

The truth of my lived experience includes life lessons learned

I thought I could communicate with birds

When I looked in their eyes I saw connection

It was as real as when I thought ‘they’ were out to kill me and I was paralyzed by fear

These experiences I describe as delusions

Yet they are as real in my head today as when they happened

They changed me

The dream world of psychosis enveloped me with powerful emotions

And who would not wish to have magical powers

Or be part of a grand scheme

I have a greater respect and daresay love for birds

I am much more aware of my environment around me at a given time

Psychosis has in a big way changed and improved my life
